Don't Share Your Food if You Have Nothing to Eat

Ministry is all about overflow.

We can only minister out of a place of having been ministered ourselves. We can only release healing out of a place of having been healed ourselves.

And so for anyone in ministry: Get ministered. Get healed. Get fed.

We cannot share food with others if we have nothing to eat ourselves. Sometimes, we give ourselves to our ministries and we end up burnt out because we aren’t being fed into our souls. Sometimes we take the precious things that God gave us to minister to our souls and give it to others, when it was meant to minister to us.

When we give out more than we receive, we get burnt out, jaded, and tired from the work.

Those who serve God must have a source of receiving from the body of Christ and from the hand of Jesus himself.
